On Trend Vintage: Monochrome
This is the second in my new series of On Trend Vintage posts, a series created to demonstrate that you can be both ‘in season’ and vintage at the same time. Last week I shared my top picks of pastels. This week I'm translating the catwalk's monochrome trend to vintage. Before you get going there's one key rule; no grey! The monochrome trend for Spring/Summer 2014 sees designers at Ralph Lauren, Diane von Furstenberg, Balenciaga, Sportmax, Missoni, Kenzo (and even queen of footballer's wives Victoria Beckham) ditching wishy-washy greyscale in favor of high contrast black and white. Here's my picks of vintage finds fit for this seasons black and white trend.
1980s black & white cowl-hip 2-piece dress [now sold]
1950s black & white Sambo floral summer jacket [now sold]
Contrast collar and cuffs 1980s satin blouse [now sold]
1980s black ditsy bowler hat print jabot blouse [now sold]
1980s zebra print bustier pencil dress [now sold]
